Punjab Kings won against Rajasthan Royals and after that, KL Rahul asked his teammates to ply like Deepak Hooda.
After the nail-biting win, Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul asked his batsmen to bat fearlessly like Deepak Hooda, whose whirlwind batting helped his team put up a huge total after they were asked tobat first.
KL Rahul, who himself hammered 91 off 50 deliveries, breathed a sigh of relief after Sanju Samson’s 119 failed to get his side past the finish line. He was on the verge of winning the game for Rajasthan but while trying for a big shot in the final ball of the last over.
“Deepak Hooda’s innings was amazing. That’s the kind of batting we want to see as a team. We want to bat fearlessly and take down bowlers. We have a lot of power in our line-up but we have been slightly tentative. It is important for us to bat fearlessly. It is great to see boys trying to understand what we expect,” said KL Rahul after the thrilling game.

Hooda smacked 64 off 28 balls and his knock helped the team put up a huge total of 221 runs.
While the captain praised his batsmen he further added that the bowlers need to pull up their socks and work on their line and lengths which were a missing in te first game as well.
“Heart rate was high but I didn’t stop believing. We knew a couple of wickets would bring us back. Till the first 10-11 overs, we bowled well. It was close because we dropped a few sitters, including me. We batted really well and bowled well in patches. We weren’t consistent with the lengths but the bowlers will learn,” he again shared.
“It’s a young team, some new boys, the boys are talented and skillful, so we need to back them,” KL Rahul revealed.
Meanwhile, Rahul also acknowledged that his opponent captain was too good to ignore and he said that it is always hard to bowl against Sanju Samson – the first centurian as captain. “When you’re bowling against Sanju, it’s difficult,” Rahul concluded.
