Brad Hogg says youngsters are taking Indian cricket to a new level

Veteran Australia spinner Brad Hogg has recently shared his thought son the Indian youngsters.

Hogg has predicted that the youngsters of Indian cricket will become a powerhouse of world cricket in the next 10 years. as he can see a lot of potential in them and also feels the management needs to change the outlook after the 2021 T20 World Cup.

The young players like Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan have really impressed Brad Hogg and he said that the sooner India will depend more on them, the quicker they dominate the world cricket.

“I am loving this lively Indian team. I think after the T20 World Cup later this year, they should make a few more changes. Add a bit of depth with a bit of youth, because they are taking this game to a new level, taking Indian cricket to a new level in all formats. Indian cricket is going to be the powerhouse over the next decade,” Brad Hogg said on his YouTube channel.

However, he was pretty impressed by the young debutant Ishan Kishan who in his debut match, smashed a swashbuckling fifty and helped his side win as well. And, the former Australia spinner claimed that he should open the batting alongside Rohit Sharma.

On the other hand, with KL Rahul’s poor form with the bat, Brad Hogg feels that if Ishan Kishan can score more consistently in the coming games, then he could be a strong contender for the opening spot for India in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

“I think they’ve got to stick with Ishan Kishan. He is young, he is explosive, he’s got a good strike-rate, he takes on the quick bowlers and spinners as well. He takes the pressure of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as we heard Kohli say in the press conference. Rahul is out of form. Ishan Kishan, this is his opportunity to take and he’s got two games at least to take the opening spot away from Dhawan and Rahul and make it his own,” Brad Hogg concluded.
