Teams journey so far

Delhi Capitals’s journey

DC
Delhi Capitals

DC have traveled four cities and have played five matches in 11 days before their vacation. But the team management is little upset as the vacation was in the wrong time. After getting two wins in the first five matches, they have changed the gear and won five matches from last six matches. In their last encounter, they beat Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. After such great momentum, a long vacation may hurt their form. They have to start from the beginning again.

The players of DC are aware that they are on the verge to qualify for the playoffs for the first time after 2012. So they shouldn’t waste such a golden opportunity after a seven years long wait.

After having six straight losses on their first six matches, Virat Kohli and his teammates have considered every match as a knockout match. They have set their mindset as nothing to lose and fully express themselves on the field. This strategy is working properly for them. As a result, they have got three consecutive wins, and four wins in the last five matches. The chance to make their way to playoffs may be very less, but they have no other option except keep winning the rest matches.

RCB will miss their middle-order batsman and wicket taking off-spinner Moeen Ali as he has departed for his national duties for ICC World Cup 2019. Dale Steyn is also out of this season due to an inflammation on his shoulder. Tim Southee has played some games for RCB, but he has to win the faith of team management to be in playing 11. RCB may include Hetmyer of de Grandhomme to boost their middle order batting.

Delhi Capitals have played 22 matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore. But their performances are so poor by winning only seven matches. RCB has won 14 matches. At Feroz Shah Kotla they have met six times, and DC has lost all times.
