India’s legendary Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has given hints to make comeback again in India’s Jersey in World-cup 2020. The 39 years Ace Off-spinner believes that he is ready to play for India in the T20 format as he has been able to deliver in IPL.
Despite the last playing in Indian Jersey in 2019, he has been a consistent member of the Indian Premium League(IPL). Harbhajan Singh played for Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings and he is the joint-third highest wicket-taker in IPL history with 150 scalps with an impressive economy rate of 7.05.
In an interview with ESPN Cricinfo, Harbhajan Singh said: “I am ready. If I can bowl well in IPL, which is a very difficult tournament for bowlers because the grounds are smaller, and all the top players in world cricket play in the IPL.” He also added,” It is very challenging to bowl against them and if you can do well against them in IPL, you can do well in international cricket. I have bowled predominantly in the powerplay and middle overs and got wickets”.

Harbhajan Singh has been performing better than his contemporary teammates. With a better economy rate, he seemed hurt at the fact that selectors did not choose him despite of his good performance and fitness. He said, “ They will not look at me because they feel I am too old. Also I don’t play any domestic cricket. Last four-five years they did not look at me even though I was doing well in the IPL, taking wickets and I had all my records to back my case.”
In the 2019 IPL, the off-spinner took 16 wickets from 11 matches and showed the cricket fans his capabilities. Harbhajan Singh believes that IPL is the toughest competition in terms of T20 cricket. If he can perform well in IPL2020 he can surely think about making come-back again in India’s T20 squad.
