Coming in to bat at 118/5 in 15th over, Brar provided the perfect support to captain KL Rahul (91 not out) to help Punjab post a match-winning total of 179/5.

Later, while defending the total, Brar took the wickets of Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell in a maiden over. He followed that up with the wicket of AB de Villiers in his next over to all but win the match.

It was more of ex-RCBians blasting current RCBians when RCB decided to bowl first. Rahul and Chris Gayle, former RCB players, combined to put 80-run stand in 7.1 overs. Rahul and Brar then helped Punjab to a big total. The win helped Punjab moved to 5th place.

For RCB, it was an off-day for their batsmen who struggled to get going. Kohli top-scored with 34-ball 35 as RCB were restricted to 145/8 in 20 overs. A cameo of 13-ball 31 by Harshal Patel came too late. Earlier, Patel was guilty of conceding 53 runs in 4 overs for 0 wickets.
