India World Cup Squad 2019 is announced. Selectors prefer experienced over young.

After so many speculations from media, here we got the final 15 players for India World Cup squad 2019. BCCI has finally unveiled the final squad for 2019 ICC World Cup. MSK Prasad, the head of the team selection committee has announced the final squad on the press conference.

The team selection committee has given preference to experience rather than young talents. However, eight players will play for India in the ICC World Cup for the first time. The committee has dumped many senior players, who were the part of 2015 ICC World Cup. So those players have to cheer the current squad by watching on TV.

Opener for India World Cup Squad 2019

The top 3 batsmen of team India was expected to stay in the WC squad. MSK Prasad hasn’t changed anyone. He preferred K L Rahul as the backup opener. K L Rahul has maintained superb form in IPL and could successfully secure his berth in India World Cup squad. At present, K L Rahul is just behind David Warner on the race for Orange Cap in VIVO IPL 2019.

3rd and 4th batsmen for India World Cup Squad 2019

Virat Kohli will lead team India as well as the middle order batting line. It was big suspense for the fourth batsmen for team India. MSK Prasad put a full stop on the suspense, and the committee has selected Vijay Shankar over Ambati Rayudu. Vijay Shankar was in good touch in the domestic tournament against Australia. The big plus is Vijay Shankar can bowl when it is required for the team. ICC World Cup 2019 will be the first time for Vijay Shankar.

Since Australia series Rayudu is not in good touch and on his last ten international innings, he could score only one fifty-plus score. At the current scenario, he has not performed any big innings in IPL to impress the selectors.

Wicketkeeper for India World Cup Squad 2019

In wicket keeping, the selectors have chosen 2011 World Cup winning skipper MS Dhoni. Dhoni is in good form, and his experience is needed for the team. Dhoni is the man who can take pressure in a cool way. MSK Prasad has chosen Dinesh Karthik as the 2nd wicketkeeper for the team. They selected Karthik over Rishab Pant due to experience and his pressure releasing skill. But Karthik will get a chance to play in case Dhoni can’t play due to injury.

All-rounder for India World Cup Squad 2019

In the all-rounder department, the committee has chosen Hardik Pandya for his superb form with bowl and bat in IPL and against Australia. He can be a good finisher for India in World Cup 2019. The selectors have given a chance to Ravindra Jadeja for his excellent economy bowling and exceptional fielding skills. Kedar Jadhav has also got a chance due to his current form in IPL and his top form against Australia.

Bowlers for India World Cup Squad 2019

The team selectors have overlooked R Ashwin, and they have preferred duo wrist spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Both bowlers were in good touch in the England tour and Australia tour. In pace attack undoubtedly the selectors have chosen Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar due to their recent international form as well as IPL form.
