On April 15, the team selection committee of BCCI is going to announce the India World Cup 2019 squad. The heat among the players is already on for team selection. As of now, all players are under the scanner in VIVO IPL 2019. The eyes of the selectors are primarily on the regular playing 11 of team India. So before the announcement of the India World Cup squad 2019, let us know each player’s current form and their chance in the World Cup squad.
As the IPL 2019 is going on, so let us have focused on it. Every team has played almost six matches. Till now there are no good performances by Indian players. Especially the regular playing 11. Except for Indian skipper Virat Kohli, no other regular playing 11 are in top 10 run-getter. Virat is at no. 7 by making 203 runs in 6 matches. This is very disappointing just before World Cup 2019.
Opening Batsmen Pair for India World Cup Squad 2019
India is considered as one of the favorite team to be crowned in World Cup 2019. But the current form of the players makes it very skeptical. The selectors will face a lot of problem for opening batsmen pair for the world cup. Rohit and Dhawan are also not in good form. Rohit has scored only 118 runs in 5 matches. Dhawan has done 152 runs in 6 matches. But Rahul has done 317 runs in 7 matches which is very impressive. The team selector may give Rahul a chance for opening batsman for India World Cup squad 2019.
Upper Middle Order Batsmen
The skipper Virat will lead the middle order batting line up, as all know he gets boosted in the blue jersey. Shreyas Iyer is doing a great job, and he is the 6th highest run-getter in IPL 2019. Selectors may give him a chance for the 2nd down batsman. But Rayudu has more experience than Iyer, and he has not given such a fantastic performance in this IPL season. Rishab Pant is also a good contender of that place. Let’s wait for April 15.
Lower Middle Order Batsmen
3rd down will be a competition between Dinesh Karthik, and Kedar Jadhav. Both the players are in good form in this IPL 2019. Then the place is for the ex-skipper MS Dhoni. Team selectors can’t neglect him as India was crowned in World Cup 2011 under him. Hardik Pandya is in very good touch. So his place is one type of fixed, but selector may choose Vijay Shankar for his substitute. Hardik is very good with both bat and ball throughout this IPL.
Bowlers Selection for India World Cup 2019
Chahal is the 2nd highest wicket-taker in this IPL till now. He is the only bowler of RCB, who is performing well. Ravindra Jadeja is very economical and has the capability of not to let batsmen score high. Kuldeep Yadav is not that good form.
In pace attack, the first choice for team selectors is Jasprit Bumrah. Mohammad Shami is doing very well for KXIP. So he may get his chance in India World Cup squad 2019. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also doing an excellent job for SRH as England pitch will offer good bounce so that selectors may see for good pace attack for the team.
