KKR team news

Squad: Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik, Nitish Rana, Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Rahul Tripathi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kuldeep Yadav, Lockie Ferguson, Pat Cummins, Prasidh Krishna, Sandeep Warrier, Shivam Mavi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Tim Seifert, Shakib al Hasan, Karun Nair, Harbhajan Singh, Sheldon Jackson, Pawan Negi, Venkatesh Iyer and Vaibhav Arora

Players to watch out for

Andre Russell

Russell showed what he is capable of in the unsuccessful but valiant chase against CSK. He struck a brilliant fifty and set the platform for Pat Cummins to make another inspiring knock of fifty. But both the knocks came in losing causes. Nevertheless, Russell finally found his groove that was missing so far. If he gets going, any score can be chased down.

RCB team news

Squad: Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal, Devdutt Padikkal, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa, Shahbaz Ahmed, Pavan Deshpande, and the new buys Kyle Jamieson, Glenn Maxwell, Dan Christian, Sachin Baby, Rajat, Patidar, Mohammed Azharuddin, Suyash Prabhudesai, KS Bharat

Players to watch out for

AB de Villiers: Slow track, double paced or fast-paced wicket does not matter AB de Villiers. He keeps the pitches out of the equation, and scores brilliant cameos out of nowhere. In the opener, he played a counter-attacking innings of 48 to set up the win for RCB. In the clash against KKR, he helped RCB to a tall score with a knock of 76 not out. Besides, ABD is a treat to watch. He is just unstoppable on his day.

Battles within the battle

Kohli vs Chakravarthy

In the first clash between the two teams, Chakravarthy got the better of Kohli cheaply, having the RCB skipper sky a mistimed shot. But Kohli finally found his timing in the next match against Punjab Kings, and would be raring to settle scores against KKR spinner.  KKR skipper Eoin Morgan would be aware of this battle, and would unleash Chakravarthy upfront to have a crack at Kohli again. But Kohli is too good a player to let a bowler dictate terms to him the second time around.

Russell vs Siraj

Siraj has improved by leaps and bounds since the Australian tour, and is spearheading the RCB bowling attack brilliantly. In the first-leg clash against KKR, Siraj bowled perfect length deliveries to deny Russell big hits. And eventually, Siraj won the battle. Russell would be smarting from that embarrassment, and looking to make it one all. It would be interesting to see what plans Siraj would have for Russell this time.
