RCB is Looking For its First Victory in Mohali

3 mins read :

Punjab is back again to their home and RCB is going to fight against a team which has never lost a game at home. Kings XI Punjab is getting tough for the guests. And this time on 28th IPL match, RCB will be fully prepared as the team has yet to get their first win in this IPL season.

KXIP is so far

K L Rahul and Mayank Agrawal

Though Punjab has won only one away game, they tend to give a tough fight to the opponent. As in their last game against Mumbai, Punjab was in the winning track, but as usually combined effort of Pollard and Alzarri Joseph poured cold water on the idea, despite Rahul’s magnificent century. So RCB has to change their strategy, or this time it will be really difficult for them to get their first win.

The real challenge for RCB is to tackle KL Rahul, who is just behind David Warner for the Orange Cap by scoring 317 runs with an average of 79.25. Gayle who stormed in the last game with MI with a personal score of 63 on 36 balls can send RCB on their back foot.

Sam Curran with teammates

Not only batsmen but also bowlers of Punjab like Ankit Rajpoot, Mohammad Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Sam Curran, and Hardus Viljoen have performed very well in this season. So I shall not hesitate to say this, Punjab is a well-balanced team which is also being reflected in the matches.

RCB is so far

Virat Kohli

RCB also has some class players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers. The over-reliance on the top players may be one of the reasons that are breaking their momentum. Lack of momentum, low on confidence, lack of an explosive opening, these are some areas where RCB need to think of. But this is not the end. The main reason why RCB should not lose hope is that it has been done before and it can happen again this time as well.

MI started the IPL 2014 in a similar way and eventually reached to playoffs by defeating Rajasthan Royals in a thrilling encounter. They need to work hard on their positive sides which you can’t find in other teams. The quality batting line up can post a big score on board.

AB de Villiers with Virat Kohli

The Indian trio of spinners Yuzvendra Chahal(Right-arm leg spinner), Pawan Negi(Left-arm finger spinner), Washington Sundar(Right-arm off-spinner) have the skill set to bamboozle the top opponent batsman.

Pitch Report

Plenty of bounce assisting the pacers on either side. The forecast is for hazy weather with a clear sky. And there is almost a 0% chance of rain.

Team News

Meanwhile, Punjab, after a defeat form MI, has not lowered their confidence and there is no news on changes in playing elevens of both sides. Both the sides are expected to come on the battleground with the same army. The only thing you can expect is to witness one more exciting game.

Kings XI Punjab

If Mayank Agarwal is given a clearance of fitness, he may replace Karun Nair. No other change in Punjab playing 11 is expected.
