In the 33rd match of VIVO IPL 2019, the inconsistent KXIP will host the rejuvenated RR in Mohali. KXIP is currently in the fifth position on the point table after suffering two consecutive losses by MI and RCB respectively. RR’s moral must be got boosted after beating MI at Wankhede. Let’s see who will have to opportunity to grab a couple of points on Tuesday night.

KXIP vs RR Head to Head

The two franchises have met 18 times in IPL. Rajasthan Royals has won 10 times, whereas KXIP has won only eight times. On the current session, KXIP had a wonderful victory over RR at Sawai Man Singh stadium. Can KXIP repeat the same performance in Mohali? Let’s find it out tonight.

KXIP so far

On their last encounter in Jaipur, KXIP had a wonderful bowling spell to restrict Jos Buttler and didn’t let RR to chase 185 runs. As a result, RR lost the match by 14 runs. But KXIP is looking very inconsistency in their bowling attack. They even couldn’t defend 197 runs against MI in Mumbai. KXIP’s bowlers were struggling to stop Pollard’s stroke, but they failed.

On their last encounter, their bowling attack miserably failed against RCB. They couldn’t restrict Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Marcus Stoinis to defend 173 runs. Andrew Tye was their leading bowling attack in the last season, but in the last match against RCB, he was wicketless with 10.0 economy. Mohammad Shami is in good touch throughout this season. But he couldn’t get rid of Virat and AB to give 43 runs.  But he is the man to send Kohli to the Pavilion.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Murgan Ashwin are good in economical bowling, but they are not getting wickets much. So in today’s match, they need to improve their bowling performance.

Chris Gayle

In the batting section, KXIP is very strong. They have Gayle storm and Lokesh Rahul the run machine. Both the batsmen are in excellent form in this season. Gayle has scored 99 not-out in his last match against RCB. K L Rahul is just behind Warner with 335 runs for the Orange Cap. Gayle is also just behind Rahul with 322 runs. Besides that, they have Mayank Agrawal and Sarfaraz Khan to manage the middle order batting.

RR so far

Jos Buttler

RR is a well-balanced team in this IPL. They have a good batting line up as well as a good bowling attack. Jos Buttler and the skipper Rahane is their batting leaders. Both are in very good form. Buttler had scored 89 against MI with seven sixes and seven fours to smash MI on its home ground Wankhede. Rahane is giving full support to Buttler to add maximum runs for RR. Its middle order batting line up is also very strong. They have Sanju Samson and Steve Smith. Ben Stokes can be their good finisher.

Jofra Archer RR’s key all-rounder. He is fantastic with both ball and bat. But Stokes has to show his actual potential. Shreyas Gopal is their key bowling attack. Jaydev Unadkad needs to show his original potential on the field.
