After getting lost brutally by Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad is flying to Mohali to lock the horn with Kings XI Punjab. Both the teams lost their last match on the doubleheader yesterday. Both the teams now have 6 points in 5 matches. Let’s see who will be a better side on Monday.
KXIP vs SRH Head to Head
SRH has the supreme edge over KXIP on their head to head stats. Both have tested their rivalry 12 times in IPL, out of which SRH has won 9 times, and KXIP has managed to win only three times. But in last season both teams have managed to win one match against each other.
SRH so far in IPL 2019
SRH is considered as one of the favorites for this tournament, but its middle order batting line up may hurt it. On their last encounter with MI, their middle order came into the scanner, and they failed miserably to lose the match. So it is cleared that Johny Bairstow and David Warner along with their middle order will fail to boost at the right occasion.
Bairstow and Warner are on the perfect form. But on their last match, Mumbai bowler’s out clashed them. David Warner has scored 279 runs in 5 matches, and he is the current orange cap holder. Bairstow is just 17 runs behind his teammate Warner, and he is 2nd on the race of orange cap. But SRH needs a serious look at their middle order.
The bowling performance is as usual impressive like every season. Mohammad Nabi is continuing his impression with his form. The skipper Bhuvi is now on the right track on line and length. Rashid Khan always maintains economy and bags wicket for the team. Siddarth Kaul and Sandeep Sharma are doing the right job for their team.
After five matches Yusuf Pathan has failed to impress with his bat. Manish Pandey and Deepak Hooda are not in good form. SRH may try some bench players on their clash with KXIP
KXIP so far in IPL 2019
KXIP lost their last match against CSK. The whole match was in favor of KXIP, but their defensive batting strategy had made them suffer. After four matches K L Rahul was in good touch, but he failed to collect runs quickly for his team.
Chris Gayle is the backbone of KXIP. The batting line up is wholly dependent on him. On their first two encounters of this season, Gayle smashed good runs. But he could score only five runs against CSK. He hadn’t played the match Delhi Capitals.
The young Sarfaraz Khan is also in good touch throughout this season. He had scored 67 runs against CSK. But he was also slow to give a win for his team. So KXIP lost their comfortable match against CSK.
David Miller is one of their key batsmen. KXIP has a balanced bowling attack. Shami leads their pace bowling attack and the skipper Ashwin leads their spin bowling attack.
