After winning the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore are now flying to their hometown to host Chennai Super Kings in Bengaluru. Kohli-led RCB is eyeing to give second consecutive loss to CSK. But CSK is sitting on the top having 14 points. They just need another win to enter the playoffs. But one loss for RCB will make them away from playoffs of 2019. Let’s see who will stand tall at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RCB vs CSK Head to Head
RCB has played 24 matches against CSK so far. But they could manage to win only six matches, whereas CSK has won 17 matches. In Bengaluru, they faced each other eight times. RCB has won 3 times, and CSK has won 4 times. On their last encounter of this season, CSK has won the match by seven wickets.
RCB so far
RCB is looking very confident after beating the strong KKR in Kolkata. The bowlers could survive Russell’s knock and could capitalize the second victory for RCB. Skipper Virat Kohli knows one loss can cost them a lot. So he has changed his gear at the top. In the last match, it was the show of Virat from RCB’s side.
Virat has scored the 5th century in IPL against KKR. He scored a half-century in 40 balls, and next 50 runs off just 17 balls. He has also shut down his critics with that phenomenal century.
The woes of Parthiv Patel is continuing. He was not seen playing any big innings so far. AB de Villiers was absent in the previous match. Moeen Ali was seen in a destructive mood by scoring 66 runs off just 28 balls. Stoinis has done good finishing.
The bowling line up of RCB is very week comparative with other IPL teams. They were on the verge of losing another match. But Russell’s pre-injury has made them to survive a loss. But the bowling attack has got boosted after addition of Dale Steyn in playing 11. Chahal was the most expensive bowler against KKR, but he is their leading wicket-taker.
CSK so far
CSK is a very balanced team with experienced players under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Perhaps they have lost their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Still, they are the most dominating team in this season. They need just one win from remaining five matches to make a place in the playoffs.
Faf du Plessis is in top-notch form, and he is making big scores for his team. But Shane Watson was not seen playing any big innings for CSK in this season. He has to show his best performance, or else he may lose his place in the team.
Rayudu and Raina are two big names, but they haven’t had any big scores until now. CSK is missing Dwayne Bravo’s performance a lot. He is suffering from injury, and there is no official statement till now if he will be available against RCB or not.
CSK is featuring with very experienced bowling attack. They have Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja, and Harbhajan Singh to take care of spin bowling attack. All the bowlers are very economical and taking good wickets.
Deepak Chahar is leading their seam bowling attack. Shardul Thakur is giving good support to the team in the pace attack.
