RR vs SRH Preview: Dream 11 Prediction

Rajasthan Royals needs to win remaining three matches to stay alive in the playoffs race.  Currently, only 12 league games are left in this season. Since RR has suffered a defeat from Delhi Capitals in Jaipur, they have joined the same league with Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders, where they can’t afford a loss to make a spot in the playoffs.

SRH is sitting in fourth place on the point table. In tonight’s match, they need to win to strengthen their position in the playoffs. At present, they have played one match lesser than KXIP who is just below them.

The IPL is now in a phase where foreign players have started leaving for their national duties ahead of ICC World Cup 2019, England and Wales. The teams like Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are going to suffer a lot as the teams are fully dependent on foreign players. They have to search for new combination at such crucial sage which can make or break their journey in this tournament. Before meeting each other at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, both RR and SRH will miss their English star openers, Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow, respectively.

Another blow for Steven Smith’s side is, they are going to miss star all-rounder Jofra Archer who has taken 11 wickets in 11 matches. He is their leading seam bowling attack, which is very economical in death overs. 

Things will get worse when the Australian World Cup squad leaves the tournament for their national duties next week. SRH is going to lose David Warner and RR is going to lose skipper Steven Smith. In the meanwhile, before Warner’s departure, SRH is looking to seal their place in playoffs. But RR is also hoping for another surprise victory tonight.

RR and SRH have played ten times in IPL. Rajasthan has won four matches, whereas SRH has won six matches. In Jaipur, both teams have met twice. RR and SRH are enjoying one win each.

Earlier, in this season they have met in Hyderabad. SRH has won the match by five wickets. They have chased huge 199 runs with one over remaining. Sanju Samson’s powerful knock 102 off 55 balls has gone in vain as SRH’s openers were very much expensive for RR’s bowlers. The opening pair has done partnership of 110 runs. But in tonight’s match SRH will miss Bairstow badly.

Last year SRH had won both home and away matches. Let’s see who will stand tall in tonight’s match as both the team will miss English players.

The absence of Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes may hurt Rajasthan, but skipper Steven Smith and Ajinkya Rahane are in good form. The young talent Riyan Parag was in good touch against KKR and MI. He is one of their good finishers. 

Sanju Samson is also in very good form, and he can be costlier for SRH as he had a century against SRH in this season. Rahul Tripathy is one of their good opening batsman option

Varun Aaron can be a good replacement of Jofra Archer, who has taken two quick wickets against KKR.

SRH may go for Martin Guptill in place of Bairstow. They can look for Kane Williamson in top order when Warner leaves his squad.

Manish Pandey and Deepak Hooda should take responsibilities for their team. Yusuf Pathan and Vijay Shankar should show their actual potential.

The side may include Mohammad Nabi to strengthen their bowling attack to neutralize with batting woes.
