Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh recall their first meeting with each other!

Recently Yuvraj Singh completed one year of retirement from cricket. Along with all the cricket fraternity and fans, posts came flooding in. Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh posted how they met each other the first time. Sachin recalled how he met Yuvraj and posted a heartwarming note on Instagram. 

 “Yuvi, the first glimpse the world got of you may have been in the Champions Trophy in 2000 but my first memory of you was during the Chennai camp,” Tendulkar wrote as his caption. “I couldn’t help but notice how athletic & deceptively quick you were at point,” he added.

“What I also realised that you had a wonderful 6 hitting ability & it was evident you could clear any ground in the world with ease,” he wrote.

“We’ve shared so many memorable moments playing for India together and it was an absolute joy to have you as a teammate,” Tendulkar added.

“God Bless and keep inspiring the younger generation,” he ended his note.

Yuvi replied to this post and recalled when he first shook hands with Sachin saying, “felt like I have shaken hands with god”.

Replying to Sachin’s post, Yuvraj wrote: “Thank u, Master. When we 1st met, I felt I have shaken hands with god. U’ve guided me in my toughest phases. U taught me to believe in my abilities. I’ll play the same role for youngsters that you played for me. Looking 4wd to many more wonderful memories with you”.

Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh are two iconic cricket players from India. Sachin is considered to be one of the best cricketers the game has ever received. He has played 200 Test Matches, 463 ODI’s and 78 IPL matches. He has made 15, 921 runs in Test Cricket, 18, 426 runs in ODI’s and 2, 334 runs in IPL. The Master Blaster has achieved 51 Test Centuries and 49 ODI centuries.

Yuvraj Singh, on the other hand, has played 40 Test Matches, 304 ODI’s, 58 T20I’s and 132 IPL matches. He has a record of 1, 900 runs in Test, 8, 701 runs in ODI’s, 1, 177 in T20I’s and 2, 750 in IPL.
