3 mins read :

Kane Williamson led Sunrisers Hyderabad is sitting at 4th position on the point table, whereas Kings XI Punjab is at the 5th position. Both the teams have the same points on the point table, but due to higher net run rates, SRH is sitting above KXIP. Tonight both the teams want to win the match to book their ticket for the playoffs. Can Warner gift SRH a win on his last match of this season? Let’s find it out tonight.

Warner’s departure

In the 48th match of VIVO IPL 2019, SRH is going to host KXIP at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. It is an important match for both sides, as a win can strengthen their possibilities in the playoffs. David Warner has made a superb comeback after a year suspension on ball tampering. Tonight he is playing his last match in this season as he has to go for his national duties. Warner is aiming to end his journey on a big node.

The Opening worry of SRH

The regular opener Bairstow has already gone for his national duties for ICC World Cup 2019. So skipper Kane Williamson is opening the match with Warner. Unfortunately, Kane is not in superb touch like last season. After today’s match, they will face more problem due to inform Warner’s departure. The management will look for Martin Guptill, but at a crucial time, the opening pair will work or not. Let’s find it out.

Middle-order problems for SRH

Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey was going through very poor form, and he also failed to get a place in preliminary 15 India World Cup squad. But, luckily he has come back to his form and was seen in very good touch in the last two matches. He can manage their middle order batting. Unfortunately, Deepak Hooda and Yusuf Pathan are not in good form. They need to perform in this crucial state at least.

SRH’s bowling attack

SRH has one of the best bowling attacks, but in this season the bowlers have not impressed so much. Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are constantly doing well, but others are very inconsistency. They may look for Mohammad Nabi tonight.

Inform openers of KXIP

Lokesh Rahul

KXIP is fully dependent on their opening pair K L Rahul and Chris Gayle. Both batsmen are at their top form now. Most of the runs are contributed by these two batsmen in KXIP’s winning. After losing the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, KXIP were on a 5-days long vacation. Now the players must have overcome the losses and have prepared for today’s challenge.

Well settled middle-order of KXIP

The middle-order batsmen of KXIP are well set and are better than SRH’s middle order batting line up. David Miller is their trump card. Mayank Agarwal is in good form, and he has to continue this form to win over SRH. Nicolas Pooran is playing destructive innings. He has to maintain this playing to neutralize Warner storm.

Bowling woes of KXIP

Murugan Ashwin

Murugan Ashwin and Ravi Ashwin are doing well in every match. But rest of their bowlers are becoming costly in some matches. Mohammad Shami has to perform well in today’s match as Hyderabad pitch offers bunce.
