On the 18th match of VIVO IPL 2019, Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Mumbai Indians at Rajiv Gandhi international stadium, Hyderabad. At the current scenario, Hyderabad is on the top of the table whereas Mumbai is at the 6th spot. Let’s see if SRH can maintain the top spot or MI will stand tall.
Head to Head overall stats
Till now MI and SRH have played 12 IPL matches, and SRH is leading the scoreline at 7-5. At home ground, SRH has the supreme edge of 4 2 over Mumbai.
Sunrisers Hyderabad so far
Sunrise Hyderabad has maintained its top position by defeating Delhi Capital in the match held on Thursday. And to maintain this top position SRH have to beat Mumbai Indians or else Kings XI Punjab or Chennai Super Kings can claim the top position who are about to face each other in the first match of Saturday’s doubleheader.
SRH Player’s Performances
Against Delhi Capital, Jonny Bairstow had almost stolen the match by scoring 48 runs out of 28 balls. He is the man maintaining his form throughout all the matches till now. But the orange cap holder David Warner was not in right touch against Delhi as Rabada dismissed Rabadahim on ten on 18 balls. Vijay Shankar has failed to impress on the last match against DC.
Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan have not shown their IPL magic yet. As usual in every season, SRH has sharpened their bowling attack, and they were promising against Delhi. Skipper Bhuvi was a bit expensive in earlier matches, but he took two wickets against Delhi. Rashid Khan is their power hub in bowling attack which takes a wicket with a good economy. Siddarth Kaul is also giving good support in the bowling attack.
Mumbai Indians so far
So far Mumbai Indians didn’t have their good opening matches. From their first three encounters, they could only beat Royal Challenger Bangalore on a controversial last ball. But they were so good against the defending champion Chennai Super Kings. Although, the top order batting failure, MI could capitalize 170 runs on the board with the power boost of Hardik Pandya. Due to his brilliant all-rounder performance MI got their 2nd victory.
MI Player’s Performances
Suryakumar Yadav and Quinton de Kock are their batting power. Rohit has to play big innings. Mumbai also has a very strong bowling line up. Behrendorff has given the boost to bowling attack on his maiden match by taking two wickets. The most experienced Lasith Malinga is giving an excellent guide to the bowling attack. Hardik and Krunal are giving good support to the bowling attack.
Let’s see who will stand tall. Can SRH maintain its top spot or MI will have their 3rd victory on this season?
